
1) Make conscious, critical efforts to decentre whiteness and engage in pluralistic acts that support the arts management of all dance expressions in Ontario
2) Respect for the lands, environments, and spaces where DUO carries out its work and acknowledge DUO’s relationship with Indigenous nations and territories in gatherings, meetings, and projects.
3) Foster relationships with Indigenous, Afro-descendant/Black, and racialized communities in the dance sector to respond to their respective, arts management needs
4) Anticipate, inquire, and address accessibility standards that support the creative enterprises of the deaf and disabled communities.
5) Pay equity for creative works and protect the owners' artistic knowledge, production, and intellectual property.
6) To use a targeted approach of arts management services for equity-deserving dance communities, while considering who and what is represented and that the communities’ connection to artistic practices is not erased but cited. Consultation within their communities of practice for additional support is to be compensated.
7) Uphold a safe, equitable working environment for DUO employees, Board and leadership executives, and Ontario creatives that is free from microaggressions, or discriminatory practices based on race, national or ethnic origin, color, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, family status, genetic characteristics, and disability
