Founded in 1978, Janak Khendry Dance Company is an internationally renowned professional Indo-Canadian dance company.
Khendry is one of the very few dancers to have studied all the best traditions of Bharatanatyam, Trivallur, Pandanallur and Tanjauver. Khendry's very distinguished dance career spans over forty-five years. He has given more than a thousand performances in different parts of the world.
Janak Khendry Dance Company is dedicated to creating and presenting excellent Indian classical traditional and innovative dance works. These works are created for presentation to diverse communities in Canada and abroad in order to establish a positive cultural exchange of information. The Company regularly performs in Toronto and travels in Canada, the United States, India and South East Asia. Company members travel abroad as Canada's cultural ambassadors to propagate the Diversity of cultures and the Unity of Canadian society.
