Gross Dance Company​ is looking for strong technical dancers (M/F) to join the company’s new production ‘DayTime Moon’. Where: Amsterdam, The Netherlands When: June 25th, 2017. 

The first working period is August, September until October the 11th 2017. The premiere of ‘DayTime Moon’ is on October 10th & 11th in Theater Bellevue in Amsterdam. Further performances will follow on a freelance base.

Dancers MUST live in the area of Amsterdam / The Netherlands.

Intro to Dance Filmmaking Workshop

International Video Dance Festival of Burgundy: Intro to Dance Filmmaking Workshop An intensive practice-based dance filmmaking workshop open to all artists interested in establishing a foundation in creating moving images of dance and movement. Topics covered include: creating choreography for camera, working with the camera in a choreographic way, editing basics, as well as professional development resources that address funding and screening opportunities in dance filmmaking. Screenings of historic and contemporary dance films round out the experience. The workshop culminates in a public screening of works in progress.

Danish Dance Theatre Is Looking For An Artistic Director

Danish Dance Theatre is looking for an Artistic Director with a strong artistic profile within contemporary dance, who also has an extensive national and international network. The Artistic Director may well be a choreographer with a catalogue of works, or an individual who has previous experience as an Artistic Director and who possesses strong artistic and administrative skills within the field of dance.

Danish Dance Theatre is Denmark’s leading contemporary dance company, located at the Royal Opera House in Copenhagen. In addition to performing in Copenhagen, the company tours extensively, both nationally and internationally, presenting 70 to 80 performances a year, for an audience of over 30,000.

The Ministry of Culture endows the company with about 12 million DKK annually and the company has a turnover of approximately 18 million DKK. Danish Dance Theatre has 25 employees, of which the ensemble consists of 12-16 international dancers. The Artistic Director works closely with the Business Manager, as well as professionals within production, fundraising and marketing/PR.

The company’s strong artistic profile today is based mainly on the works of the present Artistic Director, Tim Rushton, and international guest choreographers chosen by the Artistic Director. During the 2016/17 season, the guest choreographers have comprised of Stephen Shopshire and Marcos Morau.

The Artistic Director is the leader of the company, not only artistically, but also in regards to the company’s day-to-day management, according to the 4-year agreement with the Ministry of Culture and the Danish legislation.
