Celebrate the first days of spring by checking out some fresh, new dance talent! Toronto Dance Theatre invites you to join the graduating class of the Professional Training Program for ACCELERATION 2017.

ACCELERATION 2017 showcases the soon-to-be graduates in a range of exciting small ensemble works including: a new piece by Peggy Baker, one of Canada’s most influential dancemakers, a commission by Susie Burpee, a prominent Toronto choreographer known for her signature theatrical movement style, and a new dance by Robert Desrosiers, the world renowned choreographer of startling imagination and originality.

The graduates also revisit some favourites:  Paul-André Fortier’s Tell (1987), an energetic physical romp for four male dancers and four apples, originally commissioned by Montréal Danse and a remount of Christopher House’s demanding and extremely precise quartet, Colder Ink (1994).

Every day in the lead up to the show,  TDT features  the lively third year class in stunning photos by Cylla von Tiedemann on the School’s Instagram account . Check them out –  and book your tickets to ACCELERATION 2017 to see  TDT’s latest crop of graduate dancers on the mainstage.
